Mike Armano, a Democrat, would be honored to represent you in the Massachusetts State Senate. A product of the 2nd Essex and Middlesex district in Massachusetts, he knows our community and wants to serve as the voice of working class people.
As a proud member of the Lawrence Firefighters Local 146, Mike is both civic minded and dedicated to public service. He is a fourth-generation civil servant.
From a young age, and throughout his education, Mike was inspired by his elders to pursue the of study of law, community organization, and public administration. A lifelong and proud son of the Merrimack Valley, Mike graduated from Central Catholic in Lawrence, UMASS Lowell, and Massachusetts School of Law in Andover.
Immediately after law school, Mike successfully passed the bar in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Upon starting his career as a firefighter, Mike graduated from the Mass Fire Academy while earning his EMT license and pursuing his master’s degree in Public Administration. Currently, Mike serves our community as the Lieutenant of Fire Prevention in the Lawrence, specializing in code enforcement, arson investigation, and public education.
Throughout his professional life, Mike has served in multiple, diverse roles as a mentor, teacher, coach and public servant. Whether as a counselor at Camp Marist for many summers, a high school wrestling coach at CCHS, a substitute teacher in the Boston Public School district, Mike has positively influenced a generation of tomorrow’s leaders through his commitment to excellence and service. His experience runs the gamut across multiple fields, including his clerkship in the Superior Court, his employment in corporate security while part of SEIU, his real estate practice, and his union participation as Local 146’s delegate to the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts.
Of all Mike’s accomplishments, he is most proud of his three beautiful children, and his best friend and wife Jill (Asimakopoulos) Armano, who was raised in Dracut. Mike resides with his
family in Dracut.
